Apple ‘Pixie’ may be small in size, but it delivers outstanding flavour. Often compared to Cox, this variety produces crisp, juicy apples with a refreshing sharpness that’s well balanced rather than acidic. Its excellent eating quality makes it a favourite among those who value flavour over size.

Because of its smaller fruit, ‘Pixie’ isn’t grown commercially, but that’s exactly what makes it such a rewarding choice for home growers. Harvested from mid-October, the apples can be enjoyed straight from the tree or stored for later use.

Easy to grow and highly reliable, ‘Pixie’ shows good resistance to scab and mildew and performs particularly well on semi-dwarfing rootstock. Compact and manageable, it’s an ideal choice for smaller gardens where space is at a premium.
