Cauliflower ‘Medallion’ is a superb cauliflower for overwintering, producing compact heads of pure white curds, well protected by leaves. One of the earliest cauliflowers ready to harvest in late winter./p>

Sow indoors

Sow thinly, 1cm (1/2in) deep in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Plant out

Plant into the required harvest position 60cm apart with 60cm between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.

Sow outdoors

Sow thinly, 1cm (1/2in) deep in a seed bed or clean module trays of firm, pre-watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times. Thin to 10cm (4in).

Transplant

When seedlings have produced 4 leaves, transplant them to their cropping position leaving 60cm between plants in rows 60cm apart. Firm in and keep well watered in dry spells.
