The 'Nigra' flowering cherry is a stunning, medium-sized deciduous tree with a round-headed form, known for its deep, rich purple leaves and early spring blooms. Single, pale pink flowers open from darker pink buds before the leaves emerge, creating a striking contrast and bringing colour to the garden early in the season. Even in winter, its silhouette adds interest to garden landscapes, whether formal or natural.
