Delicious Fig 'Goutte d'Or' (the name means ‘drop of gold) is an old French variety dating back to 1667, producing a good crop of sweet, juicy fruits in summer with a second crop in late summer if the weather is warm. The succulent yellow-green fruits are flushed with rose pink when ripe. This compact variety can be grown in a large container and its large lobed leaves add a Mediterranean feel to the garden.
