Lavender Seeds 'Bandera Deep Pink'

Lavender Seeds 'Bandera Deep Pink'

  • Rose-pink flowerheads with soft pink feathery bracts
  • Fragrant foliage
  • Superb for pollinators
  • Great for pots
  • Versatile edible plants

Compact French lavender ‘Bandera Deep Pink’ has plump, deep rose pink flowerheads topped with soft pink feathery bracts, and fragrant silver-green foliage. This very pretty lavender is ideal for pots on a sunny patio, attracting bees, butterflies and a host of other pollinators.

Sow indoors

Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Alternatively sow seed in a module tray. Place in the warmth, 15-20°C and keep moist.

Transplant/Grow on

Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. Alternatively, transplant individually into 8cm pots.

Plant out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out 30cm apart when the risk of frost has passed. Water well until established.

Aftercare

Trim back after flowering to maintain a compact habit.
