The Liquidambar, or "Sweet Gum," is a handsome ornamental tree ideal for spacious gardens. Its glossy, deeply lobed leaves create a spectacular autumn display, holding vibrant shades of crimson, purple, and claret for over a month. Even after falling, the leaves add beauty on the ground. In older trees, the bark gains a textured, corky appearance in grey-green tones, enhancing its seasonal charm.
This tree also produces spiky, harmless seed pods that fall in autumn.
