African Marigold Seeds 'Hot Stuff'
Unwins African Marigold Hot Stuff Seeds will grow into tall flowers bringing a blaze of fiery orange summer colour to your garden or patio.
They have a long flowering period for you to enjoy throughout the summer from June to September. As they are taller flowers they are great for cutting and adding to vases around your home. The perfect flower for brightening up a room.
- Tough and resilient
- Prefers full sun
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 15-20°C and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm between plants.
Aftercare
Water regularly, especially in warm weather, feed fortnightly when flowering and remove dead flowers to prolong the display.
