Nemesia Seeds 'Poetry Mixed'

Nemesia 'Poetry Mix' is a charming mix of bushy, well-branched plants with scented flowers in soft cool purple, blue, pink and white shades. Forming neat mounds of foliage and flowering for months in summer and autumn, they’re ideal for pots or edging a border.

Sow indoors

Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth 10-15°C (50-60°F), and keep moist.

Grow on

Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost.

Plant out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed. Allow 20cm (8in) between plants.

Tips

To encourage bushier growth with more flowers, follow the stem of the faded flower, pinching it off 2 - 3 leaf buds back into the plant.
