Ophiopogon 'Planiscapus Nigrescens'

Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' is an evergreen, hardy perennial, grown in tufts and producing leathery, narrow leaves with clusters of small, bell-shaped flowers. In summer, the flowers are a mix between white and mauve, to be followed by glossy, black berries. It is ideal for planting in flower beds or borders, courtyard gardens, rock gardens and containers. Generally, no pruning will be required, although do watch out for the slugs as 'Nigrescens' may be vulnerable to attack.

Can be planted in a rich, fertile and well-drained soil. Position in full sun or partial shade.
