Sowing Outdoors

Sow in trays of pre-watered seed compost and cover lightly. Keep in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse, do not allow to dry out and allow around three weeks for germination.

Growing On

When large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm pots. Slowly acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out.

Planting Out

Choose a sunny spot in any well-drained soil. Plant approximately 30cm apart. Also makes a fabulous display in hanging baskets or patio containers.

Aftercare

Keep well-watered, especially in warm, dry spells. Feed regularly with a liquid plant food.
