First ever Strawberry to be shortlisted for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the year.
This is an early main season variety which has been bred as a direct result of its significantly improved flavour and appearance compared to Elsanta. The fruit is very regular in shape, is firm in texture, attractive in appearance with glossy fruits and with a stunning flavour.
Not many fruits get on the Chelsea Plant of the year shortlist, but in 2013 Malling Centenary was selected. The same year it was released and named for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the East Malling research station in Kent.
Premium Bare Roots: We offer a PREMIUM grade of Bare root runner which has been grown in a different way to traditional runners. Traditional grade runners produce 2-3 flower stalks in year one, each one of these producing 6 plus fruits. The PREMIUM grade bare roots produces up to 10 flower stalks with 6 plus fruits per stalk. This is an incredible 3-4 times more fruits in year one!
