With typically sweet lilac scent, Syringa patula ‘Miss Kim’ will adorn any sunny garden border with its purple buds opening to pale purple flowers in late spring. As the blooms start to age they fade to almost white then, in autumn, another change occurs as the green foliage turns to beautiful red and purple shades. Manageable in size, it grows to around 1 to 1.5m in height and spread. Recognised by the RHS as a good garden performer, it won’t disappoint if given a space.
