For something that’s a little different, Weigela ‘Ebony and Ivory’ really hits the right note. Produces a profusion of white trumpet-like blooms among attractive dark green leaves in May and June. This low-growing shrub is great for mixing with perennials in a sunny or partially shady border.

 

Weigela ‘Ebony and Ivory’ is a fantastic plant for pollinating insects, especially bumblebees. This compact hardy shrub grows to around 50cm (20 ins) in height and has a spread of 80cms (31 ins). It looks great at the front of a border or in a large pot. Lovely compact bushy shape that needs little maintenance.
