












Autumn Planting Garlic Cloves 'Kingsland Wight'

Garlic 'Kingsland Wight' is a beautiful, hardneck variety with pink cloves. Originating from near Toulouse, South West France, it is the most versatile hardneck variety and can be planted in Autumn or early Spring. The royal inspired name 'Kingsland Wight', is named after the most fertile strip of land on a farm owned by the King.
This garlic variety is happiest when planted in full sun. Plant out between September and January; place the cloves 3 – 4cm below the surface, root down (pointy end up) and 6 inches apart from one another.
For best results, water your garlic during any dry periods, but stop watering completely during the last few weeks. The garlic will be ready to harvest between May and July once the the lower leaves start to fold and turn yellow.
